In fact, with a dedicated staff of more than 25 cabinetmakers, carpenters, designers, draftsmen, engineers, estimators, installers, finishers and other professionals, the firm continues to invest in the future with a comprehensive journeyman’s apprenticeship program. A legacy of quality, it’s no wonder A. J. Pietsch is the preferred resource for fine woodwork and custom furnishings throughout the Midwest.

Our History
Since Alfred
Julius Pietsch started the business in 1916, the A. J. Pietsch Company has
continued a solid presence throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. |
 |
Founded as a “general building, construction and repairs firm,” Alfred ran
the woodwork and cabinetmaking operation for many years. Son Richard
eventually took over the business and continued to promote a variety of
relevant services: interior woodwork, cabinetry, store fixtures, office
partitions, display cases, shelving units, industrial wood parts and
displays, office wainscot and wall paneling. In fact, the firm is such a
landmark operation that it’s one of the businesses recreated in the
Milwaukee Public Museum’s “Streets of Old Milwaukee” exhibit. |
Upon Richard’s retirement in 1993, Greg Reistad purchased the company. Three years later, David Nadolski joined as a co-owner,
and together, the two have grown the company to its current size of approximately 25 individuals. Today, the firm still occupies the 25,000 square
foot, 3-story building it moved to during its first decade of business and continues to focus on its core competencies – architectural woodwork and custom
business interiors. |
